Find Your Fall Favorites at the Farmers’ Market

Warm cinnamon smear scones. Juicy local apples. Colorful piles of pumpkins. A farmers’ market offers more ways to celebrate the season than biggest of coffee chains could ever dream up. Squash spiced latte? I think not.

As September winds usher in the crisp air of fall, our farmers’ market is abundant with the colors, scents, and tastes of this special time of year. Drop into your favorite flannel and take a stroll downtown. Here are five fall treats just waiting for you:

Apple Goodness: Start your Saturday with Scratch Baking’s irresistible apple cider muffins. Looking to do a little baking yourself? Toby from Gentle Giant Farms’ offers locally grown apples at his stand!

Mums: Brighten up your fall with beautiful potted mums. Chris from Vaiuso’s Farms grows his plants in Bradford and offers them fresh at our market weekly.

Fall Scented Soaps: Reese from Ridge Runner Soaps whips up some fun scents this time of year. Pumpkin spice, apple cinnamon, and maple are offered in both soap bars and lip balm sticks.

Coffee: Warm up your morning with a cup of Wild Women Coffee. Brewed fresh in the fall air out of their "bean machine," Jozzi and Cyd serve up three offering from local roasteries weekly.

Thanksgiving Dinner: Localize your Thanksgiving celebration with Ekonk Hill Farm. Stop by Katie’s stand to reserve her fresh, free-range turkeys for the holidays. A little nervous about changing your traditions? Katie is happy to answer any questions you may have about reserving, picking up, and preparing a fresh turkey.

Come celebrate fall with us, but please don’t wait too long! Market season ends October 13th. For just a few more weeks, Saturdays simply belong at the market, 9 to 1, 58 River Street.
