We’re Back!

Hey there! We missed you last Saturday. As Milford celebrated Oysterfest many of your farmers market friends ventured out of town to make the most of a rare weekend off. We are back and eager to share an amazing day with you. Thanks to the hard work of 20 local farms and vendors, we expect this Saturday’s market to be the biggest of the season thus far! We also have some fun events planned. Here’s a look at what we are excited to share with you...

1] Going Green Kids Day: Little ones can geek out with three hands-on experiments! They can explore water quality with Science Outside the Box. They can discover alternatives to plastic with The Milford Girl Scouts. They can even bust recycling myths with Milford’s Engineering Department. All events are free and under the shade from 9:30 to 12.

2] Reusable Bags: You can go green, too! One of our sponsors, Milford Bank, will offer free cloth bags at the start of the market.

3] A Bountiful Harvest: Despite a wet spring and a warm July, all of our farms are enjoying a gallant growing season thus far. The veggies will be piled high for your pickings!

4] A Beautiful Day: We’re so grateful that the week’s hot, humid, and stormy days have come to an end. Saturday’s weather looks perfect for a farmers market. Blue skies with a few clouds mixed in. A hint of fall in the air early, with temperatures in the 60s and low humidity. Comfortable temperatures in the 70s and a light breeze will settle in for the late morning. Pickup an apple cider muffin, a cup of coffee, and enjoy!

5] A Big Market: There will be 20 farms and vendors for you to explore, the most of any market so far this season! Peruse the complete lineup below.

We’re back with a big, bountiful, and beautiful market...and we cannot wait for you to be a part of it! Saturday, 9 to 1, Wasson Field.
